Learn how to play Triple Trouble

🎯 Quick Overview

Triple Trouble is a strategic two-player dice game where you place dice into three segments to build high-scoring combinations while disrupting your opponent's plans.

Goal: Score the most points by the end of the round!

🎲 Game Setup

  • •Players: 2 (Player 1 and Player 2)
  • •Board: Each player has 3 segments (A, B, C)
  • •Dice Pool: Each player starts with 9 dice
  • •Segment Capacity: Each segment holds up to 3 dice

🎮 How to Play

Step 1: Roll the Die

Click the "Roll Dice" button. The last die in your pool will transform to show the rolled value (1-6).

Step 2: Place the Die

Click on one of your three highlighted segments to place the die. You can only place in segments that aren't full (have less than 3 dice).

Step 3: Dice Removal (Attack!)

When you place a die, all matching dice in your opponent's corresponding segment are removed and returned to their pool as unrolled dice.

Example: You place a 6 in your Segment A. All 6s in opponent's Segment A are removed!

Step 4: Next Turn

The turn switches to your opponent. They roll and place their die, potentially removing your dice too!

💯 Scoring Rules

🔢 Matching Dice Multiply!

When you have multiple dice with the same value in a segment, they multiply together.

• [6, 6, 6] = 6³ = 216 points!

• [5, 5] = 5² = 25 points

• [4, 4, 4] = 4³ = 64 points

➕ Different Dice Sum

Different values in a segment are added together.

• [1, 4, 6] = 1 + 4 + 6 = 11 points

• [2, 5] = 2 + 5 = 7 points

📊 Mixed Combinations

Mix matching and different dice:

• [3, 3, 2] = 3² + 2 = 9 + 2 = 11 points

• [6, 6, 1] = 6² + 1 = 36 + 1 = 37 points

🏆 Total Score

Your total score = Sum of all three segment scores

💡 Strategy Tips

✅ Good Strategies

  • • Build matching sets for high multiplication
  • • Target opponent's matching dice to deny points
  • • Remember: Removed dice go back to opponent's pool
  • • Breaking up [6,6,6] (216 pts) is worth it!

⚠️ Watch Out For

  • • Building matching dice makes them vulnerable
  • • Opponent can remove all your high-value sets
  • • Spreading values is safer but scores lower
  • • Track dice counts - game ends at 9 dice placed
